In the fall of 2020, we were contacted by a small, exciting group of people from Funen who had been working on a completely new concept for rear lights on agricultural equipment. They had named their small company Illuminatron A/S.
Qutron A/S works with development and consulting projects. We have facilities to internally house almost all phases of the projects, which gives our customers security and fast results. We have many years of experience in development, innovation and consulting and always ensure that our customers have a transparent and efficient project process.
In particular, we have worked for BMW and Volvo on special development tasks for a number of years. That's why we found the Illuminatron project around taillights exciting.
At Qutron, we have a strong focus on the durability and quality of what we make and we believe that a well-designed product should last for at least 10 years. We see the EU's new “Right to Repair” legislation as a positive initiative and an important step towards a more CO2-neutral future.
The very approach that Illuminatron had towards their upcoming product and the thoughts behind it are in line with our objectives and, moreover, EU legislation. In addition to the purely technical and objective coincidences - the human chemistry is an important factor - which has created a collaboration that has taken hold and goes far beyond what is normal in relation to development projects. Together with the people behind Illuminatron, we have a mutual respect and an open dialogue, which also contributed to us finding solutions together when we ran into severe delays during the project - due to the general shortage of components.
